How to use your Review Portal to gather more Google Reviews

How to Get More Google Reviews Using the Guest Feedback Portal

Getting Google reviews is one of the most important ways to grow your campground’s visibility online. When campers search for things like “campground near me” or “RV park near me”, businesses with more 5-star reviews often appear higher in Google Maps and search results.

Park makes it easy to collect more positive reviews using the Guest Feedback Portal. This feature automatically asks guests about their stay and directs happy campers to leave a Google review, while sending private feedback directly to you if their experience wasn’t perfect.

This article will walk you through how to:

  • Set your Google Review link
  • Send guests to the feedback form automatically
  • Understand how the review portal works
  • Share the feedback link manually or with QR codes

Step 1: Add Your Google Review Link

Before collecting reviews, you’ll need to add your Google review URL in your settings.

To add your Google review link:

  1. Go to Settings
  1. Find the field labeled Google Business URL
  1. Paste your Google review link
  1. Click Save

Best Way to Get Your Google Review Link

The best link to use comes from your Google Business Profile because it takes guests directly to the review page.

  1. Search your business on Google
  1. Make sure you are logged into your Google account
  1. Locate your Google Business profile panel
  1. Click Ask for Reviews
  1. Copy the provided link
  1. Paste it into the Google Business URL field in Park

This link reduces the number of clicks required for guests to leave a review.

Tip: You can also copy your location link directly from Google Maps, but the Google Business review link is preferred.

Step 2: Automatically Send the Feedback Portal After Checkout

The easiest way to collect reviews is by using Automated Messages.

Park can automatically send guests a post-checkout message asking about their stay.

To add the feedback link to your automated message:

  1. Go to Settings
  1. Open Automated Messages
  1. Use the button to add the Add to checkout message
  1. Save your message

By default, this message is sent one day after checkout, when the guest’s experience is still fresh.

The message invites guests to share feedback about their stay using the portal.

Step 3: How the Feedback Portal Works

When a guest clicks the link in your message, they will see a simple feedback form.

The system works differently depending on the rating they give.

⭐ 5-Star Experience

If the guest selects 5 stars:

  • They are sent directly to Google
  • They can quickly leave a public review
  • This helps increase your Google rating and search visibility

This is the ideal outcome and helps attract more campers.

⭐ 1–4 Star Experience

If a guest selects 1–4 stars:

  • They are asked to provide private feedback
  • The feedback is sent directly to you by email
  • The review is not sent to Google

This allows you to:

  • Identify problems
  • Improve your guest experience
  • Address issues privately

Even 4-star reviews are redirected to feedback because the goal is to keep your Google rating as high as possible.

Step 4: Share the Feedback Link Anywhere

In addition to automated messages, you can share your Feedback Portal link manually.

You can find your link in Settings.

Ways to use the feedback link:

  • Include it in emails
  • Send it in text messages
  • Add it to guest follow-ups
  • Post it on your website

Use QR Codes for In-Person Reviews

You can also create a QR code for the feedback link and place it:

  • At the front desk
  • In the camp store
  • On welcome materials
  • On site maps

Guests can scan the QR code and leave feedback instantly.

Why This Helps Your Campground

Using the feedback portal helps you:

  • ⭐ Increase 5-star Google reviews
  • 📍 Improve your Google Maps ranking
  • 🏕️ Attract more campers searching online
  • 💬 Collect valuable private feedback

Happy campers help spread the word, while constructive feedback helps you continue improving the guest experience.

Pro Tip: The most effective setup is to automatically send the feedback link after checkout and also provide QR codes at your front desk. This captures reviews from both online and in-person guests.
