To help organize your reservations calendar, you can mark reservations with a custom color. This can be a helpful way to identify things like:
- Early check-ins or late check-outs
- Certain kinds of guests, like friends and family
- Reservations that need action from another team member
Custom colors and labels are for internal reference only. They do not change the reservation, affect availability, or display information to guests on your online booker.
Assign a color to a reservation
You can assign a custom color in three ways:
While creating a reservation
- Begin creating a reservation as usual.
- Find the Reservation color section on the second page of the create flow.
- Select a color.
- Finish creating the reservation.
From the reservations calendar
- Right-click the reservation.
- Select Color.
- Choose the desired color.
From the reservation details
- Click the reservation to open its details in the slide over.
- Select the color option in the top-right corner.
- Choose the desired color.
The selected color will appear in a lighter or darker shade based on the reservation’s payment status:
- A lighter shade indicates an unpaid reservation.
- A darker shade indicates a paid reservation.
Add labels to your colors
You can assign a label to each color so your team knows what it represents.
- Click the Legend icon above the reservations calendar on the top right.
- Click the pencil icon beside the color you want to label.
- Enter a label, such as “Early check-in” or “Late checkout.”
- Click the checkmark to save it.
When you hover over a reservation using that color, its corresponding label will appear.
Custom colors and labels provide a quick visual reference that can help your team organize and review reservations more efficiently.
